
Signpost - Ellingham and Kirby Cane
Ellingham V.C. Primary School - Children attend between the ages of four and eleven (that is to say, after completing Year 6), then usually move on to Hobart High school, Loddon.

Built in 1865 becore school attendance was compulsory. Founded by The National Society for the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church it was supported by voluntary contributions. The site was provided by Mr Henry Smith of Ellingham Hall. After 1870 grants were dependent on pupil's attainment and attendance.
